Day #3 of 1000 sub challenge 🔥

Welcome to Day #3 👋

We still haven’t gotten our first sub for Unheard Roots.

I’m assuming it’s because of the lack of volume of issues + our first issue kinda sucked so people may be getting the wrong impression.

My plan is to publish our second issue tomorrow and add a lot more detail + a poll to the issue.

I think one of the problems with the first issue was how short it was.

It was way too short and cut out important details.

Oh I also realized I haven’t built a proper landing page for the newsletter.

We have a crappy beehiiv page for now.

I need to get a simple landing page up tomorrow or at least something that explains what Unheard Roots is.

Our 2nd cold DM campaign

As for what I did today, I created another Twitter cold DM campaign, this time targeting the followers of The Hustle on Twitter.

Maybe targeting the followers of these huge newsletters isn’t a great idea.

I’ll try targeting the followers of smaller newsletters and see how things change.
