Day #14 ✅
I fucked up...
Day #14 is now in the books.
I’m getting a strong feeling we’re going nowhere.
Maybe I shouldn’t have gotten ChatGPT to generate a business idea.
After getting ChatGPT to choose a niche and business idea for that niche, I built a MVP and sent close to 1,000 DMs on Twitter to sell it.
After 100~ replies and several pitches later no sales happened.
I decided a few days ago that it was time to go back to the drawing board, I started sending DMs to do market research interviews with founders.
After close to 1,000 Interview Requests and being stood up multiple times, this might have not been a good idea either.

I spent most of Day #14 reflecting on my strategy and trying to decide what to do next.
And here is what I think.
I’ve been told multiple times founder market fit is as important if not more important than product market fit.
It might be time to take that advice and come up with an entirely new niche and idea using my own personal experiences instead of ChatGPT.
As nice as ChatGPT is, it can’t come up with something I will personally be a good fit to build.
It could come up with good business ideas but never something I will specifically be good at building.
Here is the tricky part,
It’s super hard to know if you just haven’t tried enough or if the market just doesn’t want what you have to sell.
What if I was targeting the wrong prospects?
What if my positioning / message was flawed?
What if I was using the wrong channel?
What if I didn’t do enough volume or do it for long enough?
At points like these, it’s critical you follow your intuition.
My intuition tells me the lack of founder market fit is a problem and is going to be a bigger problem as time goes on.
So, for Day #15 the goal is to build something I’m a good fit for.
It needs to be something the market wants and something I will personally be a good fit to build.
Tune in for how it goes.
Till next time folks ✌️
